I always replace this part when doing a full motor rebuild. I also use Vintco's rod kit , bearings and seals as well. Great company that supports the Vintagecmx community

Metal grain structure looks better quality than OEM, Brass bushing looks and fits the shaft very good, no additional buffing needed to fit. When i took my 1974 MT engine apart found the original missing a tooth along with Idle gear. Direct replacement .
