El Bandido rod kit

by

Thank you so much for producing this con rod for my rare old Bultaco. The original seems like kind of a bad design. A 20mm crank pin for an open class race bike with an 8mm hole from end to end. I bought the bike with the crank pin broken in half, still on standard bore, with appearently very few hours. The center hole was for expansion pins, pressed in on each end, to help prevent twisting of the crank in use. Maybe those pins should be included in the kit. I'd also suggest maybe the internal holes just be deep enough for those pins, leaving extra material in the center for strength. Won't be able to actually try the new rod out for some time as the bike needs lots of work and parts are hard to come by. Looks like a very good quality kit though.
